Forelock brushed lightly upon amber occules as they searched briefly over the entrance of a new terra. The ground was parched in places, but had a glorious view that reflected on his orbs as he gazed around what he would hope would become his. Paperthins filtered through the various scents of intelligent life forms, but none seemed to register as being of an equine origin. With a bit of luck, this land may be uninhabitied. His mind whispered softly, echoing dimly in his lone skull. Auds swiveled around with sheer delight as they listened for anything that may be of remote interest. The outside of the land seemed almost harsh, but the further one entered the land, the more it grew in plant and animal life alike. A small creek ran to the far right of the stag, as he adjusted his course accordingly. Small tadpoles hovered in the shallow areas of the creek, trying to grasp onto various pebbles before being swept away by the increasing stream. Being mindful of the creatures around him, the stag allowed his front plates to enter the water's surface, his topline lowering. His muzzle brushed the thin surface, lips opening as a slurping sound was made. Cold water trickled down the stud's throat, parched paper seeming to be absorbing the cool liquid like a sponge.
After a brief few moments, his bod altered, his neck rising again as his auds revolved around again, aware of the life around him. Rear pillars arched back , as his front pillars were lifted from the water, pivoting around to face the grassy region ahead of him. A large mountain lay on his left side, but yet still several miles away. A dormant volcano perhaps Or at least he hoped. It had been dormant for at least a century for all of this life to have grown and remained intact. A soft sigh was emitted through the stag's facade, as his words echoed slowly outwards.
His vocals echoed out to the heavens upon, a whispering vow made to himself. He would never let these lands fall into enemy hands, not if he had anything to do about it. [/size]

I claim this land as my own, and vow to protect this territory as if I were connected by blood
